Lifejackets + Buoyancy Aids

Lifejackets and Buoyancy Aids, the single most important piece of safety equipment for all boating, sailing and watersports activities, But how do you choose and whats the difference?
Lifejackets are designed to turn the wearer face up regardless of their condition and lift them and more importantly their airway clear of the water. THey can either be solid foam, mainly Kids Lifejackets, or gas inflated, prefereably automatic gas inflation so the wearer does not have to manuallly pull a toggle in a potential state of panic.
Buoyancy Aids assist in keeping the wearer afloat, they do not turn the wearer face up and should be worn by those who can swim reasonably well. Buoyancy Aids are for use in activities where the wearer may be in and out of the water SUP, Kayaking, Dinghy Sailing, Wind Surfing etc.
If you are unsure please email or call us and our team from the watersports store will be able to advise.
