Apeks Regulators

Apeks Performance Diving Regulators Made In The UK since their inception! When Ken Smith Ainscough and Eric Partington couldnt buy quality diving valves and equipment in the Mid 1970’s they started to make their own. Using their initials KSAEP they created APEKS!

The First regulator that Apeks made was the Manta in 1979, I still have 1 or 2 in the dive centre that I owned and dived with in the 1980’s! And then in the 1990’s Apeks created the TX range of regulators which has been the foundation of the Apeks range for the past 30 years.

Apeks have developed their regulators over the years with the development of the ATX range and then more recently the XTX 100 and XTX 200 regulators, a staple of UK diving. More recently Apeks have created the world’s first unfreezable first stage, the MTX-R, and have pursued being a more sustainable manufacturer. They have also removed plastic from their packaging and created wetsuits and regulators made with recycled materials.

Now part of the global Aqualung company Apeks are still pushing the limits of diving regulators and still making their kit in the UK.
