When cold becomes the limiting factor on a dive, protecting your core is essential. The Fourth Element X-Core Mens Undersuit Vest is designed to provide exceptional warmth where you need it most, helping you stay comfortable and focused for longer during cold-water and demanding dives.
Designed to be worn underneath a drysuit, X-Core works particularly well as part of a layered thermal system. Wear it over a lightweight baselayer such as J2 or Xerotherm for enhanced insulation, or directly against the skin when maximum core protection is required. Its heavyweight construction delivers a high level of thermal protection without the unnecessary bulk of a full-sleeve undergarment.
The sleeveless design is engineered with diving in mind. By reducing material around the arms and shoulders, X-Core helps minimise overall bulk while maintaining the freedom of movement needed for equipment handling, buoyancy control and other essential dive tasks. The four-way stretch fabric provides a close, comfortable fit, while the long body design helps maintain consistent coverage and minimises cold spots.

A dedicated chest panel provides additional insulation across a key area of exposure and helps reduce the rush of cold air from the drysuit inlet valve. Combined with the vest's high-performance fabric, this helps provide effective protection against heat loss around the core.

Moisture management is equally important when it comes to staying warm. The fast-wicking fabric moves perspiration away from the skin and towards the outer surface, helping you stay drier and warmer throughout your dive.

X-Core can also help reduce the need for electric heating in many conditions, providing substantial passive insulation as part of a well-designed drysuit layering system.

Made with 76% recycled polyester, X-Core uses Polartec® Power Stretch® fabric and is bluesign® and OEKO-TEX® certified. The fabric is also odour resistant and machine washable, making X-Core a practical, durable and high-performance choice for regular cold-water diving.
